They have applied for a 25% USDA REAP grant which if awarded, along with the 30% Federal Investment Tax Credit and accelerated depreciation will result in a hard cost of less than $15,000 for a $98,000 project. The farmers have plans for adding another 40kw system to their other four-house poultry farm.
