Ag Solar Participates in International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta
HINESVILLE, GA, Feb 14, 2019 – Today, Ag Solar completed their successful participation in the 3-day International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE).
The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), the world’s largest annual poultry, meat and feed industry event, brought together more than 30,000 visitors in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW. The 2019 expo focused on “Innovation” and brought together buyers and sellers of the latest technology of products and services to support the agriculture industry.
Ag Solar made its appearance as the leading solar power installer for poultry farms, which typically spend an outsize portion of their expenses on energy. That, plus the large flat roofs of their poultry houses, make these farms excellent candidates for game-changing, money-saving solar energy installations.
Clay Sikes is the owner and CEO of Ag Solar, and he has helped numerous poultry farmers cut their utility costs through solar power technology. He shared his excitement about meeting with suppliers and integrators at this year’s IPPE, and the opportunity to share how solar energy is a great option for their poultry farmers.
“We’ve led in solar energy installations at U.S. poultry farms for the past four years. The savings are significant for farmers who are often buried in high utility bills resulting from high usage for lighting, ventilation, heating, cooling, and feed lines – everything needed to grow your flock.”
He continued, “Last year alone, we helped over a dozen poultry farmers move forward with solar energy solutions, and they are now saving a lot of money. We accomplished that by offering solutions to reduce energy usage without lowering poultry production, and by helping them build an ROI using REAP grants and tax credits. Our poultry customers have realized an average of 25-50% in cost offsets, and most are seeing a full recovery of their investment within just a few years.”
The Georgia World Congress Center housed three halls for the massive IPPE to accommodate 1,300 exhibitors. Ag Solar spent their time meeting with integrators, suppliers, and farmers (foreign and domestic) in C Hall near the live poultry production exhibitions.
“We’re excited to exhibit at the IPPE this year, so we can get the facts out about the financial benefits available when investing in solar. We look forward to seeing customers we’ve helped. And, we look forward to helping more in the future,” said Sikes.
